Karan Johar was born on 25 May 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father’s name is Yash Johar, who was the producer of Bollywood films and the founder of Dharma Productions. His mother’s name is Hiro Johar. Karan Johar has started his studies from Mumbai itself. He did his schooling from Greenlawns High School. After this he enrolled in HR College of Commerce and Economics and he also got a master’s degree in French.

As a child, Karan was influenced by commercial Indian cinema. She is inspired by Raj Kapoor, Yash Chopra and Sooraj Barjatya. Jauhar considered a numerologist for a short time. Karan Johar After finishing the French course, Karan wanted to get a degree in mass communication from Paris but his friend Aditya Chopra asked for help for his film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Johar said yes. While Karan was working on Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in Switzerland, Shah Rukh Khan suggested to Karan that he direct his own film.

The film also went on to great success and won 5 Filmfare Awards in this film, after these two films, Karan produced and wrote several films such as ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ and ‘Kaal’, except for a brief period of time for directing.
