Subhadra Kumari, famous poetess literature, was born on August 16, 1904, on the day of Nag Panchami to a distinguished family in the village of Nihalpur near Allahabad.
His father Ramnath Singh ji was a respected person who promoted education, so he left no stone unturned in getting his daughter Subhadra ji educated. Subhadra ji’s early education was done under his father’s supervision.

At the same time after Subhadra ji’s 9th class, she got married to Thakur Laxman Singh ji of Khandwa and then she started living in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and after marriage she started the movement with Mahatma Gandhi ji with her husband. During this period, a sense of patriotism developed in him and then he wrote many poems on patriotism.

Subhadrakumari Chauhan has been awarded with several big awards for her amazing writing skills. He has been bestowed with many accolades for his famous compositions ‘Bikhre Moti’ and ‘Mukul’. The Indian Coast Guard has named a newly appointed Coast Guard ship in honor of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan on 28 April 2006.
Apart from this, on 6 August 1976, the Indian Postal Service Department also issued a postage stamp of 25 paise in honor of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan. Not only this, a statue of Subhadra ji has also been installed in the municipal premises in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, which was unveiled on November 27, 1949 by Mahadevi Varma, a great poet and close friend of Sabhudra ji.

Subhadra Kumari Chauhan ji was the first woman in the country to participate in the non-cooperation movement run by Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom struggle.

On 6 August 1976, a postage stamp named after him was also released at the Indian Post Office.
